The (C)Ave Canem Project

The dogs will be treated and vaccinated, registered and submitted to birth control. These are the main actions of (C)Ave Canem in order to create the conditions for a positive relationship between dogs and people. 
According to Pompeii ancient tradition, (C)Ave Canem works for educating visitors to respect animals while waiting for their adoption.

Walking along Pompeii ruins, you could also meet Odone, Paquio, Vesonius, Asclepio or Polibia. These names are inspired to the archaeological area where the dogs live and to the ancient owners of the historical Houses.
